Democrats are trying to provoke a hot civil war, they think that now is the time while they control the weapons of government, they can crush their opposition. They are messing with fire.
In the wake of Trump 2016, the Left has merely sped up the process of destruction that was supposed to have happened because of climate change. All the lockdowns, restrictions on liberty, restrictions on energy exploration and use, centralization of as much as possible, was supposed to have been because mankind was destroying the planet and so all those measures were for our own good.
But none of their predictions came true, so people just bull headedly went about their lives, driving cars, having gas stoves, taking plane trips, going to school and church and concerts.
Covid gave them the excuse to implement all their plans in 15 days that were supposed to have happened more gradually, and any ideas that they didn't manage to implement by now are on full tilt to be implemented before the 2025 election, including digital currency, which is the worst of all.
The next 18 months are going to get uglier and uglier, pushing people into a corner if they disagree with the regime. The only hope the US has is for election reform or for Trump to win by such a margin that it can't be beat by cheating. If he gets jobbed again, everything is lost (and I'm assuming that this prosecution goes nowhere. If it moves forward, all bets are off).
